This couple is in love and enjoying their time alone together on this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock house with shingled chalet roof. This "in-love" couple is sitting between the Black Forest pine trees in front of the chalet house which is decorated with a balcony and miniature windows. The detailed filigrane on the housefront is a beautiful contrast to the walnut-stained wood case, and the solid floor is lovingly decorated with pine needles. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. After the cuckoo call, on both the hour and the half hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays, the water wheel turns and the couple kiss each other. This clock has a manual night switch off.  The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. This Black Forest Cuckoo Clock is delivered in an original box with complete instructions. This special clock is crafted by the Hekas company in Schonach, a family business that was founded in 1938 by Helmut Kammerer, and in the 3rd generation still stands for its original motto:  "Tradition with perfection".
