Their faithful dog is keeping them complany, and he guards the whole farmyard, which is surrounded with beautifullxy carved green pine trees. The red-stained, shingled Black Forest hip roof is a real eye-catcher. The house front has many loving details, including a wooden balcony with contrasting wood stains, as well as a whitewash front with a depicted stone wall on the bottom part of the house. The The miniature lattice windows are lovingly decorated with green heart-shutters and colorful flower boxes. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours.  The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions, as well as a VDS-Certificate. This clock model is produced by the Trenkle company in Simonswald, a family business that has been around for the last 50 years, and prides itself in combining the traditional handcrafting with new technical developments.
