This idyllic alpine hut with chalet roof is colorfully decorated on the gable. Behind the gate we see a goat and a young goat. The house has its own well and firewood is abundant. The working tools such as saw and hay rake, however, have already been cleaned up by the hardworking residents. Now, in the evening, all work has been done, and the young mountain farmer is making music on the accordion. Next to him sits his fiancée, holding a little kitten in her lap. The cuckoo, made of wood, calls the number of hours on the hour (e.g. 3 times at 3 p.m.) and once on the half hour.  After the cuckoo call, one of the two melodies sounds every half hour. The two lovers turn their heads towards each other and kiss tenderly. At the same time, the water wheel on the left side rotates. This model has a manual night shut-off. Dial, numerals and hands are also made of wood. The mechanical rake striking mechanism runs 24 hours.
