This stately Black Forest farm has a shingled hipped roof, a bell tower and a large mill wheel. In front of the house the chickens are scratching, the cat is also there. The hay rake, however, is leaning against the wall. It is closing time, and the young farmer is making music on the accordion. Next to him sits his fiancée, holding a little kitten in her lap. This cuckoo clock is richly decorated with trees, stones and natural materials. The small extensions on both sides also have shingle roofs and green shutters.
The cuckoo, made of wood, calls the number of hours on the hour (e.g. 3 times at 3 p.m.) and once on the half hour. On the hour, after the cuckoo call, one of the two melodies sounds. The two lovers turn their heads towards each other and kiss tenderly. At the same time, the mill wheel and the dancers on the balcony also turn. This model has an automatic night shut-off. Dial, numerals and hands are made of wood, like the housing. The mechanical rake striking mechanism runs for 8 days.
