The AMS radio controlled clock works with a high quality radio clock movement, which is powered by two AA batteries. The radio transmitter is located in Mainflingen/Frankfurt a.M. . The range of the transmitter is about 1.000 - 1.500 km. Outside this range, the clock is not functional. This modern wall clock is manufactured by AMS, a family business that exists since the middle of the 19th century in Schönenbach near Furtwangen.
