In the middle of the forest, surrounded by fir trees, stands this small cottage with hand-shingled hipped roof and mullioned windows with green heart shutters. In front of the house is the wood chopper with his faithful companion to keep him company. To the side of the house there are already piles of wood for winter storage.  The cuckoo opens the door on the hour, chirps and calls the number of hours with an echo. 

Then one of the 12 different melodies sounds, while the man chops his wood and the water wheel turns. On the side is a switch to turn off the music separately or together with the cuckoo manually. A light sensor automatically turns off the sound in the dark, but the time continues to run. The dial and hands are made of wood. This clock is powered by a quartz movement that requires three 1.5V size C batteries (included). The cuckoo clock comes in its original box with instructions. This traditional Black Forest house style cuckoo clock is made by Engstler, a family business that has been in business for generations and is synonymous with tradition and technology.
