This original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock House features a kissing couple in front of a lighter-stained, shingled Black Forest house. The solid wood casing is stained in light walnut, with the housefront colored in white as a wonderful contrast. The Black Forest house is decorated with miniature lattice windows with shutters and painted flower boxes. The shingled roof has a belltower, and below the cuckoo door is a beautifully crafted wooden balcony. In front of the house, the loving couple hold each other in their arms, while a cute little cat looks on. Many loving details, such as the carved water trough, milk can, wooden bench and woodpile, and carved pine tree, add to the charm of this clock. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. When the cuckoo calls, the couple kisses.  The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. This clock has a manual night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions.
