You can see the results of the hunt on this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. The stag head thrones majestically between the crossed rifles. The wood case is stained in walnut. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. After the cuckoo calls on the full hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. The folklore dance figurines turn to the music on the balcony. This model has an automatic night-switch off. Clockface, numbers and clock hands are made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a week. This classic model is crafted by the Anton Schneider company in Schonach, a family business that started on a farm in 1848 and has developed into one of the largest cuckoo clock producers in the Black Forest.
