This artistically carved original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock shows us what the hunter sees from his post in the hunting pulpit: the calling stag in the middle of the forest clearing, with small wild animals such as rabbits and pheasants. The wood case is decorated with oak leaves, hunting bag and horn. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a week. This classic model is crafted by the August Schwer company in Schönwald, a family business that has been around since 1885.
