The cuckoo clock case is painted white. A wonderful eye-catcher and a unique design for this Black Forest cuckoo clock. The cuckoo opens the door on the hour, chirps and calls out the number of hours with an echo. Then one of the 12 different melodies sounds. There is a switch on the side to turn the music off separately or together with the cuckoo manually. A light sensor automatically turns off the sound when it gets dark, but the clock continues to run. The dial, numbers and hands are made of wood. This clock is powered by a quartz movement that requires three 1.5V size C batteries (included). The cuckoo clock is delivered in its original box with instructions for use.
