Owls - a symbol of wisdom - watch over this walnut-stained and richly handcarved original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. Deeply carved maple leaves decorate the wood case, and left and right two sparrows flirt with each other. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a week. This little world of birds is crafted by the Gerhard Schwer company in Schonach, a family business that has been around since 1900.
