This massively solid handcarved Black Forest house Cuckoo Clock  with traditional Black Forest hip roof features a family of black bears roaming around the front of the house. The solid wood casing is very intricately carved on both the sides and front of the clock, as well as the lower base and wide Black Forest roof. Maple leaves are deeply carved into the tree stump carvings, where a small woodpecker and an owl make their home. Many decorative details adorn the front of the house, including  handcarved pine trees, a water trough, a water wheel with painted river bed, and a manger to feed the animals, all surrounded with beautiful moss and stone decoration. A deer is peeking out from the trees on the left side, and a little squirrel is perched on the water trough. On both sides of the balcony above the clock face, the painted green balcony shutters are adorned with little carved squirrels. Below the balcony, miniature windows with shutters and little painted flowerbeds provide a colorful splash to the housefront.  The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. After the Cuckoo calls on the hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. While the music plays, the baby bear moves back and forth between his mom and dad, and the water wheel turns as  the folklore dance figurines twirl on the balcony  to the music. The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. This clock has an automatic night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions and a VdS certificate.
