A classic cuckoo clock in a 5-leaf design featuring forest birds. This clock has been lovingly hand-carved and stained in walnut. The cuckoo opens the door on the hour, chirps, and calls out the number of hours with an echo. This is followed by one of 12 different melodies. There is a switch on the side to turn the music off separately or together with the cuckoo manually. A light sensor automatically turns off the sound when it is dark, but the clock continues to run. The dial, numbers, and hands are made of wood. This clock is powered by a quartz movement that requires three 1.5V C batteries (included). The cuckoo clock is delivered in its original box with instructions for use. This Black Forest clock is manufactured by Trenkle, a family business in Simonswald that has been in existence for half a century and whose trademark is combining proven craftsmanship with the latest technology.
