This Black Forest cuckoo clock depicts a beautiful Black Forest-style house with a shingled hipped roof. The wooden case is fitted with a shingled hipped roof. In front of the house are fir trees, a fountain, a water wheel with a fence, and a man in Bavarian costume tending to the harvest. The cuckoo opens the door on the hour, chirps, and calls out the number of hours with an echo. Then one of the 12 different melodies sounds, and the dancing couples dressed in traditional costumes begin to move. There is a switch on the side to turn the music off separately or together with the cuckoo. A light sensor automatically turns off the sound when it gets dark, but the clock continues to run. This clock is powered by a quartz movement that requires three 1.5V C batteries (included). The cuckoo clock comes in its original box with instructions for use.
