Surrounded by green spruces, this cosy little swiss-style chalet invites for a rest on the front bench. This cuckoo clock is full of filigree details, such as cute curtains, elaborate balconies and bricks on the chimney and the bottom of the house. The cuckoo opens the door at the hour, tweets and calls out the number of the hour with an echo. Afterwards one of the 12 alternating melodies are played. On the side you will find a switch to turn off the music separately, or both the cuckoo and the music. Through a light sensor the clock is automatically quiet after dark, although the clock keeps running. This clock is run by a quartz battery clockwork that runs on three 1,5V batteries - Size C. This clock model is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
