This lovingly designed cuckoo clock shows a traditional Black Forest cottage with a green chalet roof, fine wood carvings, and small fir trees. Two hand-carved sheep and a fountain adorn the scene in front of the house, giving the clock a particularly rural, peaceful character. The cuckoo opens the door on the hour, chirps, and calls out the number of hours with an echo. This is followed by one of 12 different melodies. There is a switch on the side to turn the cuckoo off manually. A light sensor automatically turns off the sound when it gets dark, but the clock continues to run. This clock is powered by a quartz movement that requires three 1.5V size C batteries (included). This children's motif is manufactured by Engstler, a family-run company that has been in business for generations and stands for tradition and technology.
