This chalet-style cuckoo clock is made of wood and depicts a small Black Forest house with Hans the Goatherd standing on the turntable with his goat Hilda by his side. His wheelbarrow with straw and his rake are standing next to him.

On the hour, the cuckoo opens the door, chirps, and calls out the number of hours with an echo. Then one of twelve different melodies sounds and Hans the goat turns with his tractor. There is a switch on the side that can be used to turn the music off separately or together with the cuckoo. A light sensor automatically turns off the sound when it gets dark, but the clock continues to run. The clock face, numbers, and hands are made of wood. The clock is powered by a quartz movement that requires three 1.5 V C batteries (included). The cuckoo clock comes in its original box with instructions for use.

This traditional Black Forest house is manufactured by Engstler. The family-run company has been in business for generations and stands for tradition and technology.
