"Heidi's Chalet" is the name of this Black Forest Cuckoo Clock in Chalet Design. The wood case is stained in walnut with part of a painting of a stone wall, and crowned with a walnut-stained, shingled  chalet roof with a chimney and red edging. Heidi is standing with her grandfather in front of the house and waiting for the goat shepherd boy, Peter, that is coming through the trees around the corner. The cuckoo opens the door at the hour, and tweets and calls out the number of the hour with an echo. Afterwards one of the 12 alternating melodies are played. On the side you will find a switch to turn off the music separately, or both the cuckoo and the music. Through a light sensor the clock is automatically quiet after dark, although the clock keeps running. This clock is run by a quartz battery clockwork that runs on three 1,5V batteries - Size C (delivered with clock). The roman numbers are painted onto the wooden clock dial, the clockhands are made of wood. This clock model of the worldwide famous Heidi is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
