The little Chalet with the singled roof nestles among the big pine trees. Picture windows with shutters and curtains are surrounded with half-timbered framework.  Pine needles and a water well provide shelter for the fawn. The cuckoo opens the door at the hour, and tweets and calls out the number of the hour with an echo. On the side you will find a switch to turn off the cuckoo manually. Through a light sensor the clock is automatically quiet after dark, although the clock keeps running. This clock is run by a quartz battery clockwork that runs on two 1,5V batteries - Size C (delivered with clockA). This clock model is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
