On this Black Forest Cuckoo Clock in Chalet design, a bavarian man sits in his folklore costume on the housefront, and enjoys a hearty meal with a cool beer. The wood case in log cabin style is decorated with filigree roof gables, a balcony with flower boxes, rounded roman windows with heart shutters and flower boxes, and a slanted stone wall depicted on the front of the house. In front of the house stands a pine tree, a water trough, a woodstack and a picnic table. The cuckoo opens the door at the full hour, "tweets", and calls with Echo, telling the number of the hour. After the cuckoo call, one of the 12 alternating melodies plays.  The clock has a manual night switch off, and also a light sensor to automatically turn off the cuckoo  and music sound when it is dark. The Quartz battery clockwork is run by three 1,5V Size C batteries that are delivered with the clock.  The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions. This clock model is produced by the Trenkle company in Simonswald, a family business that has been around for the last 50 years, and prides itself in combining the traditional handcrafting with new technical developments.
