This original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock is a dainty, detailed decorated Black Forest House. Many loving details decorate the housefront, including a small deer kid, a Black Forest pine, water trough and woodshed. A little bird sits on the balcony waiting for the cuckoo to come out of his door. The housefront is designed in light-colored half-timber framework, and has a balcony and miniature windows. The cuckoo opens the door at the full hour, "tweets", and calls with Echo, telling the number of the hour. After the cuckoo call, one of the 12 alternating melodies plays. The clock has a manual night switch off, and also a light sensor to automatically turn off the cuckoo  and music sound when it is dark. The Quartz battery clockwork is run by three 1,5V Size C batteries that are delivered with the clock. The cuckoo clock comes in an original box with complete instructions. This clock model is produced by the Engstler company, a traditional family business that stands for tradition and technical innovation.
