Who wouldn't want to have such a beautiful backdrop to chop firewood, as shown on this wonderfully crafted Black Forest House Cuckoo Clock. Surrounded by forest animals and pine trees, the Black Forest House with shingled roof, bell tower, side window and chimney is designed with half-timbered tudor look. Many lovingly crafted details are framed by the handcarved and handpainted pine trees around the house.

The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour, accompanied by the woodchopper chopping his wood along to the call of the cuckoo. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions and a VdS certificate. This clock model is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
