Heidi and her grandfather find their home on this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock.  Heidi lives happily here with her grandfather and the herd of goats. The shepherd boy Peter also comes often to visit. The Black Forest house with handcrafted shingled hip roof is a solid wood case with a stone wall pattern painted onto the wood on the housefront. The rounded lattice windows are decorated with shutters with hearts on them, as well as flowers. The cuckoo opens the door at the full hour, "tweets", and calls with Echo, telling the number of the hour. After the cuckoo call, one of the 12 alternating melodies plays. The clock has a manual night switch off, and also a light sensor to automatically turn off the cuckoo  and music sound when it is dark. The Quartz battery clockwork is run by three 1,5V Size C batteries that are delivered with the clock (except in the USA). The cuckoo clock comes in an original box with complete instructions. This clock model is produced by the Engstler company, a traditional family business that stands for tradition and technical innovation.
