A family of playful bears enjoy the natural surroundings of this Black Forest Hunting Cottage Cuckoo Clock with shingled Black Forest hip roof.  The solid wood case is lovingly decorated with a half-timbered tudor design, with rounded roman windows, as well as wooden Edelweiss flowers and two majestic stag heads. The cuckoo opens the door at the hour, and tweets and calls out the number of the hour with an echo. Afterwards one of the 12 alternating melodies are played.   During the music, the water wheel turns and a playful bear jumps up and down on a tree stump. On the side you will find a switch to turn off the music separately, or both the cuckoo and the music. Through a light sensor the clock is automatically quiet after dark, although the clock keeps running. This clock is run by a quartz battery clockwork that runs on three 1,5V batteries - Size C (delivered with clock). The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions.  This clock is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
