This typical Black Forest farmhouse with hipped roof and balcony is surrounded by fir trees. In front of the house a mountain goat stands behind the fence and watches the fountain splash. On the roof there is a bell tower typical of the Black Forest. The cuckoo opens the door on the hour and calls the number of hours with an echo. After the cuckoo call, one of the 12 melodies sounds. The clock is also tastefully decorated with an edelweiss flower.

On the side of the clock is a switch to turn off the music separately or together with the cuckoo. A light sensor automatically turns off the sound in the dark, but the time continues to run. This clock is powered by a quartz movement that requires three 1.5V size C batteries (included). This model is made by Trenkle, a family-owned company in Simonswald that has been in business for half a century and whose trademark is to combine proven craftsmanship with the latest technology.
