In the year 1850, there was a big competition to create a new design for the classical cuckoo clock. At that time, Friedrich Eisenlohr designed a special cuckoo clock cabinet as a representation of a railroad station house, which is still the basic design of the cuckoo clock cabinet which is produced today.
