This artistically carved original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock shows us what the hunter sees from his post in the hunting pulpit: the calling stag in the middle of the Edelweiß-decorated forest clearing . Oak leaves frame the walnut-stained wood case. Left and right the wild rabbit and pheasant hide from the hunter. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a week. This classic model is crafted by the Gerhard Schwer company in Schonach, a family business that has been around since 1900.
