The sparrows on this walnut-stained and handcrafted original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock remind you of turtledoves. Deeply carved maple leaves decorate the wood case, where the two birds are chirping and hopping around. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. This classic bird model is crafted by the Gerhard Schwer company in Schonach, a family business that has been around since 1900.
