This walnut-stained Black Forest cuckoo clock with shingled hip roof is surrounded by pine trees. A wooden water well waits for thirsty guests. This wood case is intentionally simple in design, and the solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. This classic model is crafted by the August Schwer company in Schönwald, a family business that has been around since 1885.
