Kissing children are shown on this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock with shingled chalet roof. The wood case is stained partially in walnut and partially in a lighter-colored stain, and decorated with miniature windows with shutters and flower boxes. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. After the cuckoo calls on the hour and half-hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. During the music, the little boy steals a kiss from his girlfriend, while the water wheel turns  and the dancing figurines dressed in folklore dress turn to the music on the balcony. The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. This clock has a manual night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24-hours.
