The wood case is stained in white and richly decorated with filigree wooden trimming, little lattice windows with bavarian window shutters and flower boxes, as well as a balcony. The housefront of this chalet is lovingly crafted with a pine tree, a water wheel enclosed with a little fence, and a beer garden with beer barrels and beer steins. The solid-wood cuckoo bird calls on the full hour with the number of the hour (e.g. 3 times at 3 p.m.) and calls once on the half-hour. After the cuckoo calls, on both the hour and half-hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. The beerdrinker lifts his mug of beer to the music. This clock model has a manual night-switch-off.
