A girl on her rocking horse adorns this quaint little cuckoo clock house with shingled chalet roof. The solid wood casing is stained in a rich walnut color, and the romantically curved and shingled roof is adorned with a chimney, and trimmed in the front with red trimming. A stone wall adorns the bottom portion of the housefront, providing a wonderful contrast to the rest of the dark walnut stain. Beautifully carved and handpainted pine trees provide the backdrop for this detail-handcrafted clock. Miniature windows with red heart shutters and little painted flowerbeds adorn the housefront.  A wooden trough and wash basket decorate the front of the house. The little girl rocks merrily on her horse everytime the cuckoo calls, and the shy deer looks on as it hides on the left side of the house. Underneath the clockface is a beautifully curved and handcrafted wooden base, which is decorated with a natural-colored Edelweiss flower. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructionsand a VdS certificate.  This clock model is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
