A bear family explores the front of this Black Forest House on this quaint Black Forest cuckoo clock house with shingled Black Forest roof. The housefront is designed in a two-tone half-timbered look, with the natural and walnut stain colors providing a beautiful contrast to the darkly stained bears and green painted fir trees.Below roof, two stagheads are mounted on the housefront (made of plastic).  Miniature windows with green heart shutters and little painted flowerbeds are placed directly under the two-tone balcony, and on both sides of the cuckoo door are beautiful two-tone wooden doors with bird carvings on them. Decorative stones, a woodpile, and a woodshed on the right house side complete the idyllic picture. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for a whole week. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions and a VdS certificate.  This clock model is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
