This original Black Forest cuckoo clock is a two-toned half-timbered house design from the Black Forest, and features a little girl playing with her pets in front of the house. It is a typical Black Forest House with handcrafted, shingled hip roof . The house front is decorated with many small details, such as pine trees, a dog house and the faithful farm dog, the little cat peaking around the corner, and little lattice windows on both sides of the clock face with little red heart shutters and painted flower beds. The base of the clock also displays beautiful woodworking in two tones. A beautifully crafted wooden balcony completes the picture.  The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. During the cuckoo call, the little girl playfully teases her dog with the ball. After the cuckoo call on the hour and half-hour, one of the two alternating melodies plays. The water wheel and the little children figurines on the balcony dance to the music. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions and a VDS Certificate.This classic model is crafted by the Anton Schneider company in Schonach, a family business that had its beginning in a farmhouse in 1848, and has grown to be one of the largest cuckoo clock producers in the area.
