This original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock House is something special! The handcrafted, shingled hip roof is stained in red. A real eyecatcher with its many wooden details, including the Edelweiß flowers under the roof awning, and the two-toned wood of the housefront. The special feature of this clock is the hiker and the St. Bernhard dog, along with the many small decorative details, such as a pine tree, a water trough, and other handiwork. A wooden bench on the side of the clock invites the tired hiker to take a small rest. The solid-wood, handcrafted and handpainted cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour.   The clockface, numbers and clockhands are all made of wood. This clock has a manual night switch off. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. This simple cuckoo clock design is crafted by the Hönes company in Titisee, a family business deeply rooted in the century-old tradition of the clockmaking industry, and is well known for its high-quality Black Forest craftmanship.
