This modern cuckoo clock in the shape of a long house resembles a nesting box that you hang in the garden for birds to breed in. The house is kept in a simple brown color, allowing the beautiful wood grain to stand out. On the front, you can see the outline of a tree in which the cuckoo appears to be sitting. The cuckoo sits in this nesting box and calls once every hour on the hour. The clock runs on a quartz movement that requires two 1.5V C batteries, which are inserted through the opening on the back of the clock. This is also where you will find the switch for the two different volume settings and to turn off the sound.
