The chalet house is richly decorated with a balcony and flower boxes, lattice windows with shutters, edelweiss and gentian flowers. Above the dial are two figures in traditional costume.

At the top of every hour, you hear birdsong, followed by a cuckoo call with an echo. You can also switch the cuckoo sound to Westminster chimes. Manual night shut-off is possible. The quartz pendulum movement is powered by two 1.5V AA batteries, which are included (except in the USA). The clock is delivered in its original box with instructions for use. This model is manufactured by Engstler, a family-run company that has been in business for generations and stands for tradition and technology.
