This colorful Black Forest Cuckoo Clock House with its hip roof is a favorite for children. The beautifully designed housefront has many brilliant and cheerful details, with a farm dog and an alpine hornblower on the left and right of the clockface. The cuckoo opens the door at the hour, and tweets and calls out the number of the hour with an echo. Afterwards one of the 12 alternating melodies are played. On the side you will find a switch to turn off the music separately, or both the cuckoo and the music. Through a light sensor the clock is automatically quiet after dark, although the clock keeps running. This clock is run by a quartz battery clockwork that runs on three 1,5V batteries - Size C (delivered with clock except for in the USA).  This clock model is produced by the Black Forest company Engstler, a family-run business that has been well-known for generations both for its tradition and technical excellence.
