This original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock is a little bird house in red! The wood case with its simple chalet roof is stained completely in red, although the grain of the wood is very apparent through the stain. The solid-wood cuckoo bird calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. The natural wood color number dial with brown clockhands and roman numerals is a rustical contrast to the simple case design. This clock has a manual night switch off. The clockhands are made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. This unusual clock is crafted by the Rombach & Haas company, a family business founded in 1894, and world-renowned for its quality and unique design.
