Cuckoo Clock - Black Forest House

This is the perfect gift for a cuckoo clock lover - a little Black Forest house with the traditional Black Forest roof. The solid-wood case is stained in walnut, and partially decorated with a suggested stone wall on the light-colored wood in front of the house. Miniature lattice windows with little green shutters and painted flowerboxes adorn the clockfront, as well as a pine tree, a wood block, and a woodchopper--all handcarved. The carved block underneath the clockface is a real eyecatcher. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface, numbers and hands are all made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24 hours. The clock comes in an original box with complete instructions. This classic model is crafted by the Anton Schneider company in Schonach, a family business that had its beginning in a farmhouse in 1848, and has grown to be one of the largest cuckoo clock producers in the area.
