A little girl feeding the geese is depicted on this original Black Forest Cuckoo Clock. The geese look up expectantly at the little girl to see what she is hiding behind her back. Between the bench and the Black Forest pine tree, the farm dog watches the whole scene. The housefront is lovingly designed with a stone wall depicted on the wood, miniature windows with red shutters and decorative flowers. The solid-wood cuckoo calls the number of the hour on every full hour (e.g. 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 a.m. 3 times) and once on the half-hour. This clock has a manual night switch off. Clockface and hands are made of wood. The mechanical clockwork runs for 24-hours. The cuckoo clock comes in an original carton with complete instructions. This classic model is crafted by the Anton Schneider company in Schonach, a family business that started on a farm in 1848 and has developed into one of the largest cuckoo clock producers in the Black Forest.
